Chelsea set to make £2.7m off Salah's Liverpool move

Image
Source Giphy.com Chelsea are set to make £2.7m from Mohamed Salah's transfer from AS Roma to Liverpool. The Egyptian looks set to join the Reds in a club-record £39m deal in the coming days. According to The Times , the Blues included a sell-on clause in the deal with Roma when the player joined the Italian club from Chelsea in 2016. The Blues stand to earn 10% of whatever profit Roma makes on the player, and that means that they would pocket a neat amount of £2.7m. The 25-year-old is expected to sign a four-year deal with the Merseyside club with an option for an additional year. Osman: Man Utd should not break world record for Ronaldo

Image
Former Everton star Leon Osman thinks Man Utd shouldn't break the bank for their former star Cristiano Ronaldo . It has been reported that the Real Madrid star wants to leave Spain this summer and United have been linked with a world-record move for his services. "I would love to see Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United ," the Englishman said on BBC Radio 5 Live . "Would I break the world record for him? No, I wouldn't. "He's 32 now but he's going to play until he's 41, like he's apparently said he is. How long as he going to be at the top of his game? "How many seasons are you going to get out of him where he is this world class player? "If you're breaking the bank you want to guarantee you have at least six or seven years of him being a top class player. "As good as he is, and he may do it, again I hope Man United go and get him, but I would be surprised they'd pay as large a fee as has been talked abo

Raiola: Real Madrid, Man Utd watching Donnarumma since he was 14

Image
Source Giphy.com Super agent Mino Raiola says there's no shortage of offers for AC Milan contract rebel Gigio Donnarumma. Real Madrid, PSG, Manchester United and Juventus have all been linked with the 18 year-old. Raiola said at an organized media conference yesterday: "Offers of other teams? Those that are spoken have been looking at him since he was 14, so if he wanted to leave, he could do it sooner. "It's a matter of form: we could not accept some threats, some tension, psychological stress, the passivity of the club towards Gigio. "Milan has the right to look for seven more goalkeepers, it is not our problem."

Football finance expert: Six European clubs can afford Cristiano Ronaldo

Image
Source Giphy.com Many Premier League clubs have the spending power to sign unhappy Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo. That's according to football finance expert Rob Wilson of Sheffield Hallam University. The superstar is set to quit Real Madrid and Spain, with his next move undecided as yet. On the clubs potentially in the running, Wilson told BBC Sport : “Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Juventus would have the financial resources to put together a competitive offer within the realms of Financial Fair Play rules. “The other side of the question would be whether they would want to commit so much on one player. “It would be interesting to see what kind of fee Madrid would demand. I would estimate something in the region of £100-120m."

Man Utd signing Victor Lindelof: I can handle price-tag pressure

Image
Image Source Giphy.com Victor Lindelof insists his price-tag won't affect his form at Manchester United. United had announced last weekend they had agreed on a figure with Benfica ahead of the 22-year-old's medical. And that fee was £30.7million, which the Portuguese club say could rise to close to £40m with add-ons depending on Lindelof's success at Old Trafford. When asked about the fee, Lindelof told Aftonbladet : “I don't think about that. "I don't think it's good to do so. I'm here to play football and perform as well as possible for Manchester United. "I don't keep track of that, it's not something I spend time on. It's not important to me. It just means you've done something good and that the club really wanted me."

Man Utd hope intensifies as Ronaldo drops Real Madrid profile on social media

Image
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has added to speculation over his future after changing his social media profile. The Sun says Ronaldo has dumped his profile photo of him in a Real Madrid shirt in a move that will send Manchester United fans into meltdown. The 31-year-old megastar has sensationally told Madrid he wants to leave them and move back to Manchester United, according to reports in Spain and Portugal. And today, Ronaldo decided to change up his Instagram profile pic, swapping the Real Madrid one with another showing him in a Portugal kit. Of course it could be because he is representing Portugal in the Confederations Cup, but according to one Social media user, “he has never done this in the past". It led to many speculating that he could indeed be seeking an exit from the La Liga champions.

It would also smash the world record £34.9million Manchester City paid Benfica for Brazilian goalie Ederson and would make Schmeichel the most expensive goalie of all time. Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho have been tracking the 30-year-old Dane for months and Leicester's £2million pursuit of Hull City stopper Eldin Jakupovic could be the first move in a giant goalkeeping jigsaw.
